Here is a link on how to add a TripAdvisor badge to your website - http://www.tripadvisor.com/help/how_do_i_include_a_property_badge_on_my_site A word of caution here tho: - linking to 3rd party websites can slow down the loading of your website - any malicious competitor seeing you are displaying a TripAdvisor badge could post negative feedback on your property - You worked hard to get a visitor to your website, by clicking the TripAdvisor badge they can leave your site and potentially book elsewhere.

Google Maps

 An alternative option to a static map image is to link an interactive Google Map. An example of this map is available at http://www.ibexplus.com/templates/holiday_romance/contact.php

Follow the steps below to include a Google Map on your website.


1. Access the website maps.google.com

2. Enter your property address and lick the button 'Search Maps'

3. On presentation of the map screen, click the hyperlink titled 'Link to this Page'

4. Click in the field titled 'Paste HTML to embed in website'

5. Click 'CTRL A' buttons simultaneously, followed by 'CTRL C' buttons simultaneously.

6. Open a document program (e. Microsoft Word, Notepad, etc).

7. Click 'CTRL V' buttons simultaneously. Data much like below will have been pasted into your document.

8. Delete all text except <iframe ... ></iframe> so you are left with something much like:

9. Edit width to 550 and height to 455.

10. Copy and paste this data into 'Directions to Property' field on property details screen.

Branded Desktop Shortcut - rentals

Here's a way to 'wow' your corporate clients / agents by making it really easy for them to book and remind them of your business on a daily basis.

Simply create and send to them a branded desktop shortcut that will log them in directly to your booking screens. See an example at right for Callista Lodge.

If you do not have the software tools or skills to create your own branded icon, contact your Seekom Account Manager who will be able to arrange this for you. A small one off charge may apply.

Instructions

  1. Set up your your corporate user / agent.
    Ask your Seekom Account Manager for assistance if required.

  2. Create your branded icon (or request your Seekom Account Manager to arrange for you) and enter icon file location below.

  3. Enter web address below in the format: http://www.seekom.com/rental/VehicleSearch.php?op=zz&puloc=123&doloc=456&ru=yy&ata=yes&src=Corporate

    zz = your Operator/User ID
    123 = replace with your default pickup branch code
    321 = replace with your default drop off branch code
    yy = Registered User ID (as set by you when registering your Corporate/Agent)
    Replace Corporate with any other source (eg. Agent) as required

  4. Click the "Create shortcut" button and when prompted select Save (any name but make sure .exe remains included).

  5. When emailing the shortcut to your corporate user / agent we recommend you zip it as 'exe' type files will be rejected by most email programs.
